Click on our Products page to see photos and descriptions.New Trucks: To further increase our service capabilities, A AAMERICAN has increased the size of our fleet from one to three trucks. The trucks have a shorter wheelbase to allow for more maneuverability. Staff News: Dale Payne, A AAMERICAN's owner-CEO, has been appointed President of the Florida Association of Mobile Self-Contained Storage Units and also sits on the National Portable Storage Association's Board of Directors.
October 2003 - On the WebAs you already know, A AAMERICAN went online in October of 2003. Our website is based on customers' continual requests for information about our products and services. We would appreciate any comments or requests be directed to either Dale (owner) or our webmistress Wendy.
September 2003 - Wind load CalculationsA AAMERICAN's resident engineer recently completed a series of wind load calculations to assist customers with local regulatory agencies. The calculations model the wind speed requirements to overturn nine (9) common types of ISO shipping containers. This work was completed in response to the State of Florida's new 2003 wind load requirements. You can view the results of this work on our technical specs page. Free hard copies of these reports may be acquired by contacting us.
September 2003 - New TruckIn September of this year, A AAMERICAN added a tractor trailer and 40-foot roll back delivery trailer to our fleet. This new addition will increase our service capabilities and help keep costs down. Dave Cray, our former 20-foot delivery driver, stepped forward as the new driver for the 40-foot truck. Dave Wellman was hired as the new driver for the 20-foot truck.
August 2003 - A AAMERICAN goes to the MoviesA AAMERICAN proudly supplied the storage and props needs for the recent movie production of "The Punisher," which was produced in Tampa from August through October of this year. Keep a close lookout for our containers in the background. We would love to show you pictures, but it was all closed set. Just remember that we were directed to stack some of those containers so poorly!
March 2003 - Lock BoxA AAMERICAN introduced its newest product: an external lock box system. The system is based on several years of researching theft through traditional commercially available lock box systems and pre-fabricated containers. Our resident engineer designed a lock box system to resist a thief's attempt to sledge, pry, or cable the security system. The system is designed to use either an American 2000 or 2500 model lock or Master lock model 6270. Additional pictures and information can be found in the security section of the site.
